Joining the Brigade

Usually, a member of divison 59 C/D must complete a minimum of 100 hours of Volunteer Medical First Response Services that are provided at a variety of community settings including, but not limited to:

Public gatherings
Sporting and recreational events (ie. GM Place, Abbotsford International - Airshow, Celebration of Lights)
Disaster or civil emergencies (ie. forest fires, floods, earthquakes)

The volunteer candidates:

Must be at least 16 years of age
Should be physically and mentally capable of performing the activities that are reasonable for the type of service they are to provide
Must hold, as a minimum at the time of enrolment, a valid Standard first aid and Level "C" CPR certificate from a nationally recognized training agency.
